We had an incredible time at the 2025 IHCUS National Specialty! All 3 dogs got to be involved this year and we had an action packed week.

Starting with Json, he was only entered in AKC and ASFA Lure Coursing. He made it clear that he doesn't want to play show dog anymore, so we nixed the triathlon for him. On Monday Json was 3rd in his AKC specials stake for a few more points towards his LCX3. He is now over 80% of the way there! Json also won the Performance Stake! On Tuesday, Json was 1st in the ASFA Field Champion stake and lost BOB by just one point! Json also won the ASFA performance stake! This puts him halfway to his LCM in just 9 days of running!

Next up is Hattie! She was entered in AKC and ASFA Lure Coursing as well as Dual Titled Sweeps (with Co-Owner Baylie), Maturity, the National, Hound show, Sleepover Specialty, and both supported entries over the weekend. This is the most Hattie has ever shown and she did so well! She enjoyed showing and handled all the in/out of the crate like a pro! Hattie was just out of the points for both AKC and ASFA, though she showed me some beautiful moments! She is just 3 months out of her first season, and she looked great! While we didn't meet our goals in showing, she showed better and better every time in the ring and I couldn't ask for more from her! At 20 months Hattie is just 5pts, 1 major, and 1 champion defeat away from her Grand Championship. She's also just 3 singles away from her FC/DC!

Last but certainly not least, Fable. I didn't quite realize all that I had signed him up for, but he rose to the occasion like it was nothing! Fable was entered in AKC/ASFA Lure Coursing, Triathlon, Dual Titled Sweeps, Rally (Excellent and Advanced), and the National (for a junior to show). Fable had a grand time assisting with QC's before field cheating his way around both the AKC and ASFA courses.  Fable showed well in both the Triathlon conformation judging and in Dual Titled sweeps. Our first Rally run (Excellent) went poorly. The judge had some lovely things to say about Fable, but told me I needed to get myself sorted out. Fable and I turned things around with a 99 in Advanced B and our first High In Trial! In the second rally trial, Fable was getting tired, but still gave me his all to earn an 88 and 95 to get his first High Combined award! Finishing on his 99 Rally Advanced B score, Fable won the 2025 IHCUS National Triathlon by nearly 11pts! After some brief instructions, Fable was off with his new junior friend for the National! They looked so so good together and I'm glad Fable and his new friend had fun! The judge had kind things to say about him after the show as well, which means so much!

I am beyond proud of my crew! Win or lose, I get to bring the 3 best dogs home with me!

Fable had a great time at WestRover's Regional Qualifier! While we were just short of qualifying for regionals, Fable had a new personal best of 19' 3"! Hoping to get him ready for Air Retrieve before the end of the summer!

We had a great time at GANG's May Lure Coursing trials! All three dogs did great! Fable was 4th on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday for another point towards his LCX! Json was BOB on Saturday and was just 1pt shy of winning BIF! On Sunday Json won specials giving him 8pts towards his LCX3 for the weekend! Hattie did so well! On Saturday Hattie won Open  for a 4pt major after a runoff. On Sunday Hattie won BOB for a 5pt major! She now has 11pts and both majors towards her FC!

Fable finished his UKC championship with a group 3 in great company! This is Fable's 5th champion level title!

We had a great time at Beezer Bash this year! Fable helped QC dogs on Friday and field cheatered his way around! Json placed 3rd and won the Performance Stake. Hattie did her best but didn't place at the specialty on Friday. 

Saturday, Lure Coursing was rained out but Hattie made up for it by going WB to finish with a 5pt major under judge Jon Cole! 

Sunday, Hattie was Select her first time in the ring as a special for a 5pt major towards her GCH and champions defeated! Then we went out to Lure Coursing and Fable placed 5th, Hattie placed 5th, and Json placed 3rd. We then booked it out of there due to big storms rolling in.

Hattie was WB/BOB/BOBOH on Saturday and WB/BOBOH/OHG4 on Sunday to put her in the 1pt club!

This weekend we travelled to Kentucky to attend our first Kentuckiana Cluster! The show is massive and I'm so proud of how well Hattie handled herself! Hattie was RWB to the major on Friday, WB for a 4pt major on Saturday, and RWB to the major on Sunday! Fable also got to show with a new person for the first time. We have realized that it's not his thing.

Despite the weather, the crew had a great time Lure Coursing in Limestone this weekend! Json won specials on Saturday and BOB on Sunday for 9pts towards his LCX3! Fable was 5th on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday earning 2pts towards his LCX! Hattie was again 2nd to her brother Pete both days but she earned her SC title!

Hattie started her Lure Coursing career this weekend at the SSRC trial! She had a gorgeous QC run with her auntie Khaleesi and a spectacular prelims run on Saturday. She tied with her brother, Pete and forfeited since she seemed tired after finals. She was second to her brother on Sunday as well. Hattie earned her first 2 points and 2 legs towards her SC! Json was 4th and 2nd with Fable earning 5th and 4th. Fable also helped QC Topeka and Cyrano the Ibizans!
