About Me
Growing up, I always had a deep love and affinity for animals. I spent years asking for a dog. My parent's finally gave in to my pleas and we got our first family dog, Sara, in 2000. For as hard as I tried to, my first foray into dog sports was still a long ways off. In 2014 I got my first dog as an adult, Peanut and had high hopes of pursuing dog sports. My dreams of having a sport dog were put on the back burner as we struggled to address all of Peanut's anxieties. Eventually, after a lot of time and a great deal of effort, we were able to make our debut in the dog sport ring with many successes! Several years later, Mira was added to the family. She was rock solid temperamentally but ended up having severe idiopathic epilepsy. Between the issues that Sara, Peanut, and Mira have had, I decided to pursue ethically and responsibly bred purebred dogs. After a great deal of research, rethinking, and researching some more, I landed on the Ibizan Hound. I have been blessed to have been chosen to share my life with my boys, Fable and Json, and the newest addition, Hattie. I've definitely been bitten by the 'Beezer bug' and can't imagine my life without one of these sweet, funny, opinionated dogs! As I have traversed this part of my journey, I have learned a lot and have chosen to do my best to preserve and improve the Ibizan Hound for future generations. I hope to produce Ibizan Hounds that exemplify the breed standard, are excellent sport dogs of sound mind and body, and most importantly beloved companions. |
