We travelled to Yellow Springs, OH to attend OKIGO's ASFA Trial. We've never been to the trial site before but it was lovely (and you could get DoorDash and UberEats delivery!). We had a great time running with great dogs and helping a friend get her two started. Json won Open on Saturday to finish his ASFA FCH! This also qualifies him to enter the Gillette Stake at the ASFA II! Fable ran well and placed 3rd in the Field Champion stake for more points towards his LCM! Sunday the boys ran well with Json placing 3rd and earning his first points towards his LCM. Fable had already figured out the field and showed his creative side! Now we have a break until the ASFA II!

We had a great time at the Gazehound Association of the Smoky Mountains Birthday Bash event! There were 3 days of AKC trials and an AKC judges seminar. I'm so proud of the boys and how they ran!
We went up a day early so I could attend the AKC Judges seminar. It was informative and a great learning opportunity! I also got to do some apprentice judging! Saturday we had 19 Ibizans entered and had a split stake in Specials and a major in Open. Json won his stake and went on to win BOB! Fable showed off all of his big brain cells and didn't place. Sunday the boys decided to be matchy-matchy and both were 4th place in their stakes. Monday Json had an okay preliminary run, then came back strong to win 2nd place in the Specials stake (we had lost the split stake)! Fable once again showed everyone his creativity and didn't place. Photos by Shamrock Studios We travelled all the way to Pennsylvania for the UCBSC ASFA Trial and Dean's Birthday Bash this year! The weather was beautiful, the food was good, and the company even better! The boys ran so well despite the long drive up. Fable won the Field Champion stake both days, earning 20pts and 2x competitive first place finishes towards his LCM title. Json went above and beyond winning Open and Breed both days earning 24 more points (to bring him to 92pts out of the needed 100pts). Json was also the only dog at the trial who ran for Best In Field both days. I'm so proud of the boys and how they handled themselves!
Json earned his first agility titles! We entered our local AKC ACT trial where Json was entered in two runs of ACT1 Standard and two runs of ACT1 Jumpers. Json went above and beyond my expectations by qualifying in all 4 of his runs with just one fault and earning both his ACT1 and ACT1J titles! We have some more work to do before he's ready to debut in big kid agility but I'm so proud of how far he's come in such a short period of time!
We travelled to Limestone, TN for the CAHC AKC Lure Coursing trials this weekend. The boys did great! Json won the Special Stake on Saturday and was 2nd on Sunday, adding 8pts towards his LCX and two more legs towards his MC. Fable ran well and was 5th on Saturday and 4th on Sunday after a 3-4-5 runoff. I wasn't able to get photos of the boys during the trial, so here are a couple from last week!
Json is on a roll! We travelled to Perry, GA for the Honeysuckle Cluster where we were entered Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday Json was WD. Sunday Json won WD and BOW for the crossover major to finish his AKC Championship and AKC Dual Championship! Json is the second dog I've finished a CH/DC on and I'm so proud of him!
We had a great time at the Beezer Bungalow Bonanza this year! The field was lovely, company was great, and the boys far exceeded my expectations!
Saturday we had 20 Ibizan Hounds starting. Twelve Specials, six Open, and two Veterans. With the 12 Specials we were able to split the stake into two. Fable ran better than he has in a while, placing 3rd in his stake! Json ran so well! He won his stake, went on to win BOB, and then won Best In Field over the Afghan Hound, Scottish Deerhound, Greyhound, and Pharaoh Hound! My first dog to do so! Sunday we were down a couple Specials, so the Specials stakes went back to being one big stake. Fable showed off his creativity and just missed the Turtle award by a few points. Json ran beautifully again and won the Specials stake! While he didn't win BOB on Sunday, I'm so proud of him! The boys were entered in a few 'non-regular' stakes for the Beezer Bungalow Bonanza: Kennel Stake (2 dogs from the same household), Performance stake (dog with non conformation/Lure Coursing/foundation titles), and Bench stake (conformation champion). Json and Fable won the Kennel stake on their Saturday scores. Fable also won the Performance and Bench stakes on his Saturday scores! So proud of the boys! We travelled to Fayetteville, AR this past weekend for 3 days of shows and 2 days of Lure Coursing and we had a stellar weekend! Json was WD all 3 days and BOW 2 days. On Saturday Json was WD/BOW/BOS/BOBOH over a top winning special! Json earned 5pts this weekend to bring him to 13pts and 1 major! The boys had a great time coursing too! The numbers didn't fall in Json's favor this time, but Fable placed 5th both days for some Bowen points. Json also showed in OH group on Saturday and did phenomenally even after coursing and got a long look by the judge, though we didn't place. I'm so proud of Json for how he handled his longest weekend yet of showing and coursing! Fable as always was a trooper and handled everything like a pro
We went to Limestone, TN for an ASFA trial this weekend. The weather was cold and rainy on Saturday, but gorgeous on Sunday! We had a small but power packed group of Beezers running and had a great time! On Saturday, Json won Open and then went on to win BOB! Unfortunately, due to weather and time, there was no BIF run. Sunday Json won open and had a great run for breed, but lost by one point. Fable big brained less than usual and came in 4th both days. Json is now nearly 3/4 of the way to his ASFA FCh!
We went to Lawrenceville, GA for the Lake Lanier Cluster. Json was entered Saturday and Sunday in Open and was an absolute rockstar! Json earned 3 more points towards his championship this weekend! Saturday was wild with some intense thunderstorms rolling over the metal building we were in just before our ringtime. J handled all the noise and the ring starting to flood like a pro. After a break for some playtime and a nap we were back for OH groups. Json was tired but showed beautifully! He tried his heart out for me and I couldn't be more proud! Sunday was a beautiful day and J was still a hint tired but showed wonderfully! We are really coming together as a team and I'm excited for our next time in the ring!
