Mira is the dog that got me interested in hounds/sighthounds and really hammered home what mattered to me when it comes to dogs. Mira was the dog everyone wanted: she was great with other dogs, kids, adults, puppies, and was always happy to go along with whatever you were doing. She was just as happy to go camping or hiking as she was to lay in bed and cuddle all day long. Her favorite thing to do, above anything else was Fast CAT (she would have loved regular CATs too, but I never fully trusted her recall)! She loved to chase the 'bunny' full speed and catch it at the end. Despite going beast mode over small critters and plastic bags on string, she was virtually bombproof everywhere else. It breaks my heart that idiopathic epilepsy cut her life so short. I miss her deeply, and not a day goes by where I don't miss her sweet cuddles and silly 'moos'. Run free sweet girl, go get that bunny!
