Json is on a roll! We travelled to Perry, GA for the Honeysuckle Cluster where we were entered Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday Json was WD. Sunday Json won WD and BOW for the crossover major to finish his AKC Championship and AKC Dual Championship! Json is the second dog I've finished a CH/DC on and I'm so proud of him!

We travelled to Fayetteville, AR this past weekend for 3 days of shows and 2 days of Lure Coursing and we had a stellar weekend! Json was WD all 3 days and BOW 2 days. On Saturday Json was WD/BOW/BOS/BOBOH over a top winning special! Json earned 5pts this weekend to bring him to 13pts and 1 major! The boys had a great time coursing too! The numbers didn't fall in Json's favor this time, but Fable placed 5th both days for some Bowen points. Json also showed in OH group on Saturday and did phenomenally even after coursing and got a long look by the judge, though we didn't place. I'm so proud of Json for how he handled his longest weekend yet of showing and coursing! Fable as always was a trooper and handled everything like a pro
We went to Olive Branch, MS for our second Lure Coursing trial of the year. On Saturday Json won the specials stake and Best of Breed for a 5pt major towards his LCX! Json then ran for BIF with a Greyhound and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Despite running an extra run compared to the other two dogs Json held his own and managed to keep up with the Greyhound! On Sunday Json was 2nd place in Specials, putting in two very solid runs for another 3pts towards his LCX! This brings Json to 13pts towards his LCX and 11 legs towards his MC title! I'm so so proud of how well Json did!
We went to Limestone, TN over the long weekend for 3 days of AKC Lure Coursing. It's probably one of my favorite trials. Going into the weekend Json had 8 points and 2 majors. I was hoping that between 3 days of coursing Json might manage to pull together the 7 points he needed to finish. Baby J went above and beyond my expectations and I'm so proud of how both boys ran!
On Saturday we had 6 Open Ibizan Hounds running and 11 Specials. Json ran beautifully on a tough course and won 1st place to earn a 5 point major! Fable also ran beautifully and placed 2nd out of the 11 specials. That left Json with just two points needed to finish! On Sunday there were 5 Opens (one dog moved up the day before) and two stakes of 6 specials each. The course gave Fable plenty of room to show off his 'creative coursing' skills and he placed 4th in his stake. Json pulled out all the stops and won the open stake to finish his AKC Field Championship with 4 majors! In the BOB run off he tied with his 'cousin' Willow. Json did his best in the second run off for breed, but Willow won the day! On Monday Json made his debut as a Special. Json placed just out of the ribbons in 6th place (of 9) and Fable placed 3rd. Json finished the weekend with 2 majors (making 9 points), 3 MC legs, and his Field Championship. Fable finished the weekend with 2 placements and 5 points towards his LCX. We can't wait to go back! We drove over to South Carolina for the Foothills Cluster in Greenville. The boys showed Saturday and Sunday. I wanted to test something with the boys and organized a friend to help me. She's a talented junior and I like how she handles her dogs. On Saturday Fable went WD for another point towards his championship (2-2-1-3) and Json was RWD. On Sunday Json, being piloted by my friend, went WD/BOW/BOB for a 4pt major (2-2-1-2) for his first major! We got to play in the group ring and gain experience. We had a bit of car trouble but made it home safely.
I'm so proud of my boys and looking forward to getting them back in the ring next month! This weekend we travelled out to Limestone, TN for AKC lure coursing trials. My goal going into the weekend was to get Json qualified for the NLCC later this year. In order to qualify, Json needed 3pts (accrued in any combination of points).
On Saturday Json ran beautifully on a very long course (>930 yards) and won the Open stake for a 3pt major (qualifying him for the NLCC!)! Then Json went on to win Best of Breed in a run off with our friend Kayla (Ianthe Hounds) and her wire girl Azula! Winning BOB took his 3pt major and made it a 5pt major! Fable ran well as well and took 4th place after a 2/3/4/5 place run off. Fable couldn't quite resist the urge to show off some of his creativity in his coursing! On Sunday Json ran beautifully again, though a touch tired still from the day before. Json managed to win the Open stake again for another 3pt major! This means he now has both of his majors needed for his AKC Field Championship! By successfully completing his fourth trial Json also earned his Senior Courser (SC) title! Fable ran well again, and did his best to contain his creativity. He placed 3rd today in the Specials stake. Fable now has 17pts towards his LCX and 18 legs towards his MC title! Json didn't win breed today, but he was pretty tired after this weekend. I'm so proud of both of my boys this weekend! We went back to Limestone, TN for a weekend of ASFA Lure Coursing! Json was finally old enough to certify too! On Saturday Json certified with Azula (Iathe Hounds) and from watching his run, we decided to enter him in open. The weather was incredibly trying on Saturday and we had a couple delays due to visibility (we had snow, hail, sleet, freezing rain, rain, and bits of sun throughout the day). Json finished in 3rd place in open for his very first points! Fable tied with Azula they ran off with Halo (Kamar Ibizans) for BOB. Fable ended the day with the 1st place to finish his ASFA Field Championship (FCh)! He is the first out of his litter (Kamar Mind Litter) to earn both his AKC and ASFA Field Championships! Fable got moved to the FCh stake on Sunday and tied for 2nd place with Halo. After a run-off Fable ended up with a 2nd place and his first points towards his LCM. Json put in some beautiful runs and won 1st place in open! He had a great run for BOB, but came up a bit short due to him going deep into some corners and taking an outside line. He still ended his first weekend of ASFA with one competition win and almost 1/4 of the points he needs for his ASFA FCh! I'm super proud of how well the boys ran!
