This weekend we travelled to Conway, AR to spend some time with Hattie's breeder and co-owners. Fable was entered in the breed ring and Hattie was entered in Beginner puppy with her sister. Fable ended up taking Select/BOBOH both days, though he showed unlike himself. Hattie was the star winning BOB and Group 1 both days! She was an absolute rockstar! So proud of her!

Hattie earned her very first title this week! She completed and passed her Virtual Home Manners Puppy test! Pending AKC, and my ability to remember to submit the paperwork, Hattie is now:
Marwyn Nahala What Is Love At Kosmos *VHMP* We headed out to Fayetteville, AR for this year's Beezer Bash! Fable showed Friday and Saturday, and both boys ran ASFA on Friday and both days of AKC Lure Coursing Saturday and Sunday.
Fable showed well both days but didn't place in a deep quality entry. He showed happily and moved well. Both boys ran well on Friday, taking 3rd (Json) and 4th (Fable). Fable also won the performance stake! During the weekend trials Fable helped QC one of the ridgebacks and then continued to run well with Fable placing 5th and Json just out of the ribbons on Saturday. On Sunday Json placed 3rd and Fable just out of the ribbons. Hattie had so much fun hanging out and meeting everyone. She even got to do a puppy bump! We attended the DAKC Agility Trials this weekend. Fable had a beautiful run to (re)finish his Open Jumpers With Weaves title after losing several qualifying scores due to a paperwork error. So proud of my Moose puppy! Fable had some really nice components to his Excellent level runs this weekend, just couldn't quite put it all together.
Json got himself a little bit scared on Friday, but rallied for two strong runs on Saturday and was just shy of qualifying. We attended the HOTC February AKC Agility Trials this weekend. The trial was Json's debut in 'big kid' agility and he did so incredibly well! Json was entered in Fast, Novice Standard, and Novice Jumpers with Weaves on Saturday.
He was understandably distracted during his Fast run, and our goal was to try out all of the contact equipment and the tunnel to make sure nothing was feeling scary. He handled all the equipment like a pro! For his standard and jumpers runs he was still a little distracted but held it together so well and managed to earn his first qualifying scores with 2 first placements! Beyond proud of my best Baby Spice! Fable had some really nice runs as well, but we are still pulling some skills together. Another NLCC is in the books!
This year the event was held in Ardmore, OK. The event was very well run and you could easily tell how much time and care went into it. Friday the boys ran well but missed the ribbons. Saturday the boys had some lovely runs with Fable placing 5th and Json tying with the lovely Pippi for 1st! After a cold and rainy runoff, Json ended up winning Specials Stake A! Then Json and his cousin Beetlejuice got to run together for BOB! Json and Beetlejuice also won the Breeder Stake for Ibizans together! I completely miscalculated how many runs J had towards his MC, but he did earn his MC at the NLCC too! Good job Baby Spice! It was great meeting folks I have only known online and seeing folks I haven’t seen in a while! I also got to huntmaster a couple breeds and the breed runoffs this year which was a bit stressful, but went pretty well overall. While I didn’t come home with any raffle prizes, I did come home with some new line burn We travelled out to Olive Branch to support the young club out there. Json won Specials/BOB one day and was 2nd place the next. Fable was last one day and second to last the next. Peanut enjoyed hanging out and cheerleading from her fancy pen set up! If I mathed right, with this trial Json has surpassed 100 Bowens Points this year! He's my first dog to do so and I'm so proud of him!
Had a ton of fun with GANG for their Halloween Lure Coursing Trial in Georgia! Json won the specials stake each day to finish his Lure Courser Excellent (LCX) title! He is my first dog to earn the title and I'm so proud of him! Json also won the costume contest for his Borat costume. Fable ran well and only big brained a little bit placing 3rd and 5th.
We had a great time at the Gazehound Association of the Smoky Mountains Birthday Bash event! There were 3 days of AKC trials and an AKC judges seminar. I'm so proud of the boys and how they ran!
We went up a day early so I could attend the AKC Judges seminar. It was informative and a great learning opportunity! I also got to do some apprentice judging! Saturday we had 19 Ibizans entered and had a split stake in Specials and a major in Open. Json won his stake and went on to win BOB! Fable showed off all of his big brain cells and didn't place. Sunday the boys decided to be matchy-matchy and both were 4th place in their stakes. Monday Json had an okay preliminary run, then came back strong to win 2nd place in the Specials stake (we had lost the split stake)! Fable once again showed everyone his creativity and didn't place.
